Trafalgar Square Former Royal stables of Whitehall Palace Modified to commemorate Lord Nelson. The naval victory over Napoleon’s navy outside Trafalgar The Battle of Waterloo between England and France in 1805 is a big square. Located in central London. Designed by John Nash. Created by Charles Barry. 1830-1840. The center of the square. There is a monument to Lord Nelson. The Great Heroes of England Tell the story of the battle between England and France. Each side carved with a lion sculpture facing away in all four directions. Large fountain flanked by two sides.
