St. Cajetan Church in Goa, India

 

St. Cajetan Church located at Old Goa of India and opening from 09:00AM-12:00PM & 04:00PM-07:00PM. St. Cajetan Church, Goa is also known as The Church of Our Lady of Divine Providence as the main altar in the church is consecrated to it. However, the name of the St. Cajetan Church in Goa is derived from the name of its founder called St. Cajetan who was a contemporary of St Francis Xavier. The specialty of this church is its architectural brilliance. It is designed on the patterns of Basilica of St. Peter in Rome. It is built of laterite blocks.

These blocks are coated with lime. Besides, the altar of this church is done very intricately. It boasts of opulent Baroque patterns. Truly speaking, Goa St. Cajetan Church is an epitome for other churches because of its rich architecture. Numerous devotees irrespective of their sects and creed give it a regular visit. It is largely praised for its Corinthian columns and pillars of colossal proportion.

  • St. Cajetan Church, Goa is located in Panjim. It is very easy to reach this church as different modes of transportation are easily available. The best way to get here is to catch a bus to the church. However, taxis and motorbikes can also be hired to reach.
